Arsenal are fearful that Kieran Tierney could be out for a few weeks after the Scotland international picked up an injury on Saturday.
Tierney limped off with a knee injury just before half time in the Gunners’ 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League after a challenge with James Milner and appeared to be devastated while coming off
Speaking after the match Mikel Arteta did not seem too positive about the severity of the injury.
“He felt something in his knee and he was in pain so it looks like he will be injured,” he told the media on Saturday. “But we don’t know for how long.”
And now reports suggest Arsenal are fearful that he could be out for some of their most important games of the season over the next few weeks.
Tierney is still being monitored by the club’s medical team who are expected to have more of a clear picture over the severity of the problem within the coming days.
The early fears though are that he could be out for a few weeks which would lead him to miss both legs of the crucial Europa League quarter-final against Slavia Prague.
